Koh Samui
Popular holiday destination Koh Samui
with easy international flight connections through
Bangkok, Hong Kong and Singapore.
Koh Samui is a tropical island resort of
fascinating natural beauty. The island is famed for its
long sandy beaches and warm, sunny weather almost all
year round. (see the temperature
and rain-fall chart on Koh Samui's weather statistics
page).
Beach Front Villa with private Pool for Rent

This spectacular vacation villa is positioned directly at
the beach front. It has a private swimming pool in front of
the terrace, and private Jacuzzi inside the sala. The house
has three air-conditioned bedrooms with king-size beds and
three bathrooms.
Built in Thai style all from hardwood, it is a modern,
well equipped house with a magnificent traditional flair.
Large windows afford breathtaking views across the beach and
the sea. Find all the details about
Beach Front Pool Villa P3
and make sure to visit its photo page with interior and
exterior views.
Coconut Beach
True marvel of Koh Samui and unspoiled tropical beach at the Northern Shore near
the village Bang Por.
Visit here and experience Samui island feeling devoid of concrete blocks or
high-rise buildings.
As large hotels are not allowed on Coconut Beach, visitors
who wish to stay here find accommodations
at a small number of idyllic vacation homes between coconut trees, directly on the beach.
Other Koh Samui Beaches
Chaweng and Lamai
Beautiful white sand beaches cover most
of Kosamui's seashore. The most popular, and most
developed beach areas are at Chaweng and Lamai at the
eastern seaboard of Ko Samui.
The majority of Koh samui's hotels,
resorts, and bungalows line up along the coast of
Chaweng and Lamai, followed by Bophut Beach and Maenam
Beach, with plenty of restaurants, shops, service
agencies, bars, and nightspots in the vicinities.
The North Coast
The quieter resort areas are located in
the north of Koh Samui. The beaches at Mae Nam, Bophut,
Bang Rak, and Choeng Mon are very beautiful and a lot
less crowded, especially during peak travel periods.
These areas offer a good variety of lodging and dining
options, but less choices for shopping or après-beach
entertainment.
Secluded Beaches
The shores in the South and South-West
are characterized by long and largely untouched
stretches of white beach and sand coves.
Only a few bungalow complexes and one or
two luxury resorts spread out along the beaches near
Bang Makham, Lipa Noi, Taling Ngam, Phang Ka, Thong
Krut, Bang Kao and Hua Thanon. Here is the choice of
travelers who are seeking solitude.
Nathon
Nathon is Koh Samui’s administrative
center, with ferry port to the mainland and neighboring
islands.
Nathon’s beach may not be too attractive
for swimming or sun-tanning, but the small town streets
and alleys are definitely heaven for shoppers and
bargain hunters.
Koh Samui Airport Extension

Samui Airport
new passenger terminals opened on May 27, 2007. The new
facilities handle international and domestic direct
flights between Koh Samui and Bangkok, Hong Kong, Singapore, Penang and Phuket.

Samui Golf
|
|
Santiburi Samui Country Club is an on-the-hill, Par-72, 18-hole
championship golf course designed in harmony with the natural beauty of its
scenery. The Santiburi Golf Course is built on 72 hectares (450 rai) on the
hillside behind the village of Maenam.
Santiburi Samui Country Club offers an interesting and entertaining
up-and-down-hill golf game where each hole is positioned along different
altitudes of the sloping hills. From almost any point golfers at the Samui
Country Club enjoy magnificent views of the coastline and beaches of Koh Samui
and the azure expanse of the Gulf of Thailand.
The architectural specification of golf course designer Pirapon Namatra set the
focus on preserving and enhancing the natural beauty of the tropical landscape
and foliage. Santiburi Samui Country Club is recognized for its
successful integration into the surrounding jungle and coconut forest, a
symbolic, natural feature of Koh Samui. It is renowned as one the most
interesting and appealing courses to play in Thailand and Asia. |
